HPSC successfully retained its ISO27001 Information Security certification following a two-day audit in December.

Steve Shawyer, HPSC’s Information Security and IT manager commented “Since the onset of the COVID-19 emergency, HPSC’s operations have become even more critical to public health protection in Ireland. We must remain increasingly vigilant of the threats of both random and targeted cyber-attacks as well as other threats to the integrity and availability of data and data systems. Maintaining a heightened awareness among our staff around information security best practice is key to minimising the risks associated with information security breach and data compromise. ISO27001 certification is an assurance to HPSC’s stakeholders that we continue to operate our Information Security Management Systems (ISMS) to a very high standard.”.

HPSC is committed to the secure stewardship of the data entrusted to it through the continuous improvement of its ISMS and by maintaining its certification to the ISO27001 standard.
