Vectorborne Sub-Committee
Terms of Reference & Membership
- To assess the current and potential risk of vectorborne disease in Ireland and to make recommendations to reduce people's risk of disease.
- To determine the burden of viral CNS infection and to make recommendations regarding its prevention and control.
- To determine the burden of imported malaria and to make recommendations in relation to provision of advice and guidance.
- To identify and determine the burden of other significant vectorborne diseases in Ireland and to make recommendations in relation to the provision of advice and guidance.
- To co-ordinate with the Meningitis Advisory Committee to ensure consistency of guidance and the provision of epidemiological information especially in relation to viral CNS infection viral disease (in order to undertake this work, liaison will be required with the Meningitis Advisory Committee, to consider the terms of references of the viral CNS infection, and to establish best methods of communication in relation to common areas of interest).
