Contact Tracing Guidance
As of 10/02/2021, the testing of close contacts of confirmed cases of COVID-19 will resume as follows:
- All close contacts (including healthcare workers) will be tested at Day 0 and Day 10 after their last exposure to a case.
- All close contacts (including healthcare workers) may end the period of restricted movements on receipt of a 'not detected' test result from a test conducted on Day 10 since last exposure, as long as they have no symptoms.

For those recently arrived in Ireland from countries subject to S.I. No. 44 of 2021 (Restrictions Upon Travel To The State From Certain States), different guidance applies, see here. These countries are: Angola, Austria, Botswana, Brazil, Burundi, Cape Verde, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Lesotho, Malawi, Eswatini, Mauritius, Mozambique, Namibia, Rwanda, Seychelles, South Africa, Tanzania, United Arab Emirates, Zambia, Zimbabwe.
