Audit tool for healthcare facilities - implementation of national guidelines 
HPSC has developed an audit tool that enables healthcare facilities measure their compliance with national C. difficile guidelines.
The file contains a number of sheets:
- Introduction (which explains how to use the audit tool)
- Background Information (background information on facilities and expertise that is important when managing Clostridium difficile-associated disease (CDAD) on a daily basis)
- Section on Governance/Management processes
- Section on surveillance
- Laboratory section (is only filled in if there is a laboratory on-site)
The majority of the tool is completed via a 'drop down' menu and as sections are completed the compliance and compliance chart are automatically filled in.
It takes approximately 10-20 minutes (depending on how many sections and people are involved in the filling) to complete the tool.
